🧾 Ingredients
Dough
- 2½ cups bread flour
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
Sauce
- ¾ cup roasted red pepper purée
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt & pepper to taste
Toppings
- 1 cup crumbled goat cheese
- ½ cup fresh baby spinach
- ¼ cup caramelized onions
- Handful of toasted pine nuts
- Drizzle of balsamic glaze
👩🍳 Preparation Steps
1. Dough
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 min.
- Mix in flour, salt, and olive oil to form a soft dough.
- Knead 5–7 min until smooth. Cover, let rise 1 hr.
- Punch down and stretch into a 12" round.
2. Sauce
- Whisk red pepper purée with tomato paste, garlic, oregano.
- Season with salt & pepper, set aside.
3. Toppings Prep
- Toss spinach lightly in olive oil, season.
- Caramelize sliced onions in a pan until golden.
- Toast pine nuts in a dry skillet until fragrant.
4. Assembly
- Spread sauce evenly over dough.
- Sprinkle goat cheese, then layer spinach & onions.
- Scatter pine nuts over top.
5. Bake
Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 12–15 min until crust is golden. Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and serve immediately.
